Inspiration

The inspiration behind my mask came from the color scheme of the Ghanaian flag. I took the bold green, red, and yellow colors of the flag and incorporated them into the face of my mask. While looking at pictures of the styles of different Ghanaian masks, I noticed that even though each mask was unique, they all had a certain level of detail and intricacy that comes with hand-made art. To replicate this, I added small beadwork into my mask.
